AFC Leopards coach Nikola Kavazovic has cleared the air further, tweeting a photo confirming that he’s home in Belgrade – Serbia with family.
Grapevine has been rife that the gaffer, who left the country over the weekend, is negotiating for a possible move to South Africa’s Free States Stars after reportedly disagreeing with Leopards’ management.
When he left the country, Leopards gave a statement to the effect that the coach had asked for sometime away to attend to family matters.
“Not Asia, not Africa, but Belgrade, Serbia. Not football, but family,” the former Botswana’s Township Rollers manager tweeted.
The coach has not indicated when he’s coming back to lead the team.
With the Kenyan Premier League new season kicking off this weekend, assistant coach Tom Juma is expected to be incharge when Ingwe take on Kariobangi Sharks Sunday.
