Economist and Chief NASA strategist David Ndii is today (Monday) expected to appear at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) for probe over incitement to violence.
Ndii was last week arrested by officers from the flying squad at the Leopard Beach hotel, Kwale. He was later released on a Sh10,000 bond as ordered by the DPP.
His arrest was met with a lot of criticism with human rights activists accusing the Jubilee government of taking the country back to the dark days of dictatorship.
“The nature of the arrest was aimed at creating fear and intimidation and trampling on citizens rights,” John Githongo said.
He is also Chair, People’s Assembly steering committee that was meant to swear in Raila Odinga, but the event has been postponed to a later date after wide consultations.
On Thursday, Ndii said that the President and his Deputy were cowards hiding behind the trappings of power.

”I have been reminded that Uhuruto are wimps cowering behind state power. Let them come out here and we face off mano y mano,” he said on Twitter.
The opposition accused the ‘illegitimate’ Jubilee regime of intimidating NASA supporters with Odinga warning of more arrests in the coming days, all in a bid to silence them.
