NASA Presidential Candidate Raila Odinga on Tuesday morning rejected the 17 October date set by the IEBC for round two of presidential elections.
The ODM party leader said that his party was not consulted by the electoral body when reaching the decision.
He insisted that thorny issues to be taken care of first before a new date was issued.
The Former Prime Minister will on the new date face off with Jubilee’s Uhuru Kenyatta who insists that he is ready for round two.
Odinga’s side has however maintained that they will only participate in the 17 October poll if the electoral body is disbanded.
The government has argued that there is not enough time to remove and reconstitute afresh the commission within 60 days.
President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto have said that the Odinga led camp was not ready for the polls and were looking to share power.
