The National Super Alliance (NASA) is not ‘shopping’ for a venue for Raila Odinga’s swearing in, minority Chief Whip in the National Assembly, Junet Mohamed has said.
On Wednesday, 11 governors whose county assemblies had adopted the People’s Assembly motion allegedly received letters asking them to ‘provide a venue for this high level event in your county.’
But the Suna East MP told the Nation that the opposition did not draft any letter regarding Odinga’s swearing in venue. The Jubilee party, he said, had a hand in it.
”We have all seen such letters but that is not our work,” the legislator said.
”We have neither written nor are we shopping around for the swearing in venue, which by the way, is still on,” he added.
Odinga’s swearing in ceremony, according to the an invitation card doing rounds on the interwebs, will be held on December 12 at noon but the venue still unknown.

The venue, the card read would be disclosed ‘after vetting the RSVP.’
The former Premier will be inaugurated as the People’s President by the People’s Assembly which has so far been adopted by 12 counties, Mombasa and Machakos adopting the motion on Wednesday.
Odinga’s advisor, Salim Lone yesterday (Wednesday) said that his swearing in is the only way to ‘ prevent further polarization by giving Kenyans hope for electoral justice that was denied them, under a genuinely independent IEBC.’
