NASA women leaders led by ODM Secretary General, Agnes Zani and Jacqueline Oduol, accused Jubilee party of buying Identity cards from their (NASA) supporters.
The scheme, they said was meant to reduce significantly the number of votes Raila Odinga would garner in the repeat October elections.
Speaking at the IEBC offices in Nairobi, the legislators claimed the sale was happening in Kisumu, Bungoma, Busia and Kakamega.
They said that the ID cards were going for approximately Sh. 1,000 to 5,000.
“We want to remind Kenyans their democratic right and responsibility. Do not be swayed to sell your vote,” said Ms Oduol.
“We call on the public to be vigilant and stop attempts to deny Kenyans their democratic right to vote.”

The nominated legislator added that IEBC could not be trusted as is hence their call for its disbandment before the fresh polls.
She said that the electoral body owed Kenyans explanations, referencing Wafula Chebukati’s memo to the CEO, Ezra Chiloba.
“We want a credible and transparent IEBC that can tell Kenyans why the servers have yet to be opened, why the KIEMS kits did not transmit Forms 34A as it should have done and why satellite phones worth Sh840 million failed,” she added.
Ms Zani on the other hand defended the presidential campaign contributions move saying it was a normal practice. She accused Uhuru Kenyatta’s party of using the taxpayers money to fund their campaigns.
