Nakuru Town West MP Samuel Arama will face abuse of office and land-related corruption charges, DPP Noordin Haji has said.
The legislator, Haji noted, will be arraigned in court on Monday to face uttering a document with intent to deceive, obtaining registration of land by false pretenses, knowingly misleading an investigator, conspiracy to defraud and making a document without authority.
“The outcome of investigations revealed that Arama in collusion with officers in the Nakuru lands registry unlawfully and deceitfully caused illegal registration and issuance of a certificate of lease in relation to plot no.6/95 to an alleged individual who has disowned the purported sale agreement entered between Samuel Arama and the alleged individual person,” DPP said.
The said plot was hatched in August 2015.
