Prophet David Owuor’s Ministry of Repentance and Holiness is in trouble with the Nakuru County Government.

The county environment department has threatened to sue the ministry for destroying trees as they celebrate the rising from the dead of one of their followers.

Ms Rosa Rotirakori apparently resurrected after a long illness. She is said to have risen right after a text message from the controversial man of the clothe saying ‘it is well.’

The believers have been holding protests and carrying with them tree branches, a thing that is not sitting well with the environmentalists.

“The church has been in conflict with the law as they embark on their celebrations and preaching. This cannot go unpunished,” said Kiogora Muriithi, the county director of environment.

The county director said that over 2,000 believers destroy trees every Sunday as they hold their street protests.

The Church, through its Archbishop John Litunda has refuted the claims saying that their members brought the twigs from their homes.

“We often ask worshipers to bring twigs from their homes and go back with them after the procession.”
