Muranga MCAs have engage in a second fight after a group allied to Amos Murigi who was elected to replace the majority leader Eric Kamande tried to forcefully take over the office.
This fight takes place barely ten days after the two factions fought at the Sahara West Hotel in Ruaka.

The rivalry is allegedly caused by the faction allied to Governor Mwangi Wa Iria who has allegedly wanted to show the MCAs who is boss in the county. The fight stated when the Murang’a MCA realigned the county assembly votiong out the Majority leader as well as dewhipping the the chief Whip Wamweya who they claimed was abdicating their duty.
His place was taken over by former deputy majority leader, Wambui Njoki.
In November, a number of MCAs tried to forcefully evict the county assembly clerk who they accused of defying tendering procedures by procuring substandard sports kits and uniforms.
