The parliamentary committee on transport and public works which is investigating the proposal for Kenya Airways to take over the running of Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) from Kenya Airports Authority dismissed the transport PS Esther Koimett for failing to produce the proposal documents.
The y said that it was impossible to discuss a document that was not before the committee. Koimett and KQ CEO were asked to present the document so that it would be discussed.
“What business will we be doing here if you don’t have the proposal? We can’t talk about what we have not seen,” stated Pokot South MP David Pkosing who is also the Committee chair.
Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria who sits in the committee told the two to get the document as it was not a document that was being newly generated but was already in their possession.

The Committee also asked the two to bring transport CS James Macharia as he would be better placed to explain the document of the proposed take over.
“The CS is at the center of this so we cannot proceed without him,” Shadrack Mose of Kitutu Masaba said
The PS was given an hour to return with the CS and the proposal documents by Kenya Airways
