Members of Parliament on Wednesday asked the assembly to provide blind masseurs at the parliament gymnasium.
Nominated MP, David Sankok tabled the report compiled by the Members’ Services and Facilities Committee asking the Parliamentary Service Commission to bring on board blind masseurs since they are better at the job.
“We are asking Parliament to go to the Machakos School for the Blind and hire some of those people because they can do a better job,” said Sankok.
The committee’s Chairman, Ezekiel Machogu also added that Parliament should look into hiring professional chefs and audit the skills of the catering servers.
The report was compiled after a supposed benchmarking exercise at the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland.

The committee suggested that parliament should retrain the existing staff and have new staffers intern at five start hotels.
In February the legislators complained about the bad food and tea served at the cafeteria, and the poor gym services.
