NASA leader Raila Odinga will be sworn in at Moi Stadium Kisumu by Justice Richard Otieno Kwach on December 12 at noon, Gatundu South MP, Moses Kuria has revealed.

The Kiambu legislator alleges that the opposition supporters will after the inauguration ceremony storm state house, Kisumu.

But Justice Kwach has denied the allegations saying that Kuria’s claims are not only ‘untrue but also upsetting and defamatory.’

The alternative swearing in, the Attorney General Githu Muigai, has said is a treasonable act punishable by death.

But Odinga dismissed the claims saying that he will be sworn in lawfully by the People’s assembly which Muigai said is alien to the Kenyan constitution.

The AG warned the 12 counties that have adopted the motion against misappropriating public funds by funding their activities.

”The county assemblies found to have used tax payers money to fund the activities will be surcharged,” Mr Muigai said.

The former Prime Minister has however said that he is ready to dialogue but between equals whereas the government has maintained that it is ready for talks but will not allow banditry politics.

The US has warned against the alternative swearing in saying that it is a recipe for chaos and an act that could further disunite the country.
