Moses Kuria said that the first fundraising will be done in Kerugoya stadium in Kirinyaga county. This is the same county that Martha Karua vied as governor and lost to Anne Waiguru.

Moses Kuria referred to Martha Karua’s reward as child support and not a reward given to her after winning a defamatory suit.

Martha Karua through lawyer Gitobu Imanyara had asked the court to give her Sh. 20 million but justice Sergon awarded her the Sh 6.5 million. She said that the statements made by the legislator were damaging to her as a mother leader and an advocate.

The legislator had earlier mocked the NASA coalition for putting up a pay bill number to ask Kenyans to fund raise  to support their campaigns. In his mockery he was ‘philanthropic’ enough to send Sh5 to support the funds drive. The NASA coalition refunded the Gatundu South MP with his contribution.
