Tourism at the coastal city of Mombasa has been boosted with the inaugural docking of MS Silver Spirit. The Ship that is en route to Cape Town from Victoria Seychelles docked On Thursday December 21.

The ship carrying about 837 passengers docked in Mombasa at 8 am and is set to stay in the coastal city for 14 hours. It has tourists from the united Kingdom, Germany and the Netherlands.
The Tourists are meant to visit the various tourists sites in Mombasa such as Fort Jesus ,Marine Park among other interesting tourism sites.
The ship’s docking is a plus to the Kenyan tourism sector which had suffered due to the extended electioneering period and heightened political tension
The Hotel industry experienced almost 70% cancellations from local and international tourists as from August.
