Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho has met with retired President, Daniel Arap Moi at his Kabarak home on Saturday morning.
Also present at the meeting was the former President’s son, Gideon Moi.
The details surrounding the meeting are not yet clear as it was a closed door meeting.
This comes after the Deputy President, William Ruto was denied the pleasure of meeting the former President on grounds that he had no appointment and the former president was in session for therapy.
Earlier in March, the Baringo senator and Joho met at Joho’s office in Mombasa in a move that was dubbed as ‘building bridges’.
Both Joho and Gideon Moi will supposedly be seeking presidential office come 2022.
Governor Joho shared on his Twitter that the meeting came in the spirit of building bridges and fostering Unity.
In the spirit of Building bridges and fostering unity, I was honored to sit down with former President H.E Daniel T. Moi at his home in Kabarak. I was fortunate to hear his wisdom on some national issues and thanked him for his time at the helm of this country. @MoiGideon pic.twitter.com/XLzBrvQ5ir
