Egyptian Mo Salah has now scored 50 goals for Liverpool in just 65 games – setting a new record at the Premier League giants.
“King” Salah achieved the feet Wednesday night as he grabbed a brace against Red Star Belgrade in the Champions League at Anfield.
The former Roma man reached the 50 goals mark faster than legendary Albert Stubbins (72), Fernando Torres (84), Daniel Sturridge (87) and Suarez (91).
“That’s great. I’m happy to score 50 goals for Liverpool. I’m very proud about that and I hope to keep scoring to help the team win games,” Salah said.
Senegalese forward Sadio Mane and Brazilian Roberto Firmino netted the other goals of the night to seal a resounding 4-0 win.
Salah has now scored more goals (15) in the Champions League than greats like Ronaldo, Zidane, Klose, Pires, Villa and Adriano who each shook the net 14 times in the lucrative European competition.
