The NCPB staff are said to have collaborated with unscrupulous traders to repackage the subsidized fertilizers for commercial sale, denying the farmers the subsidized manure.

Principal Secretary, Richard Lesiyampe and Head of Research, Professor Hamadi Boga have also been summoned to appear before the committee tomorrow at 10 am to give account of how the money was spent.

Sources stated that eight traders were paid Ksh.1.9 billion money that would have been used to pay close to 4,000 farmers.
