The National Resistance Movement (NRM) general, Miguna Miguna has invited the Nairobi Business Community and an unnamed church to the People’s President’s swearing in ceremony on January 30.
RE: SWEARING-IN of The People's President, H.E. @RailaOdinga, CIC of Kenya's Defence Forces and #NRM: It's my privilege to welcome the Nairobi Business Community, the un-named Church and all Kenyans to the CEREMONY on January 30th at UHURU PARK. #Resist #UhuruMustGo

A source at the county government intimated that the business community and a church had requested to use the Uhuru Park on the said date.
Speaking to the Nation, the source said that the group was expected to pay a requisite fee of Sh250,000 today (Monday) during a meeting.
Wilfred Kamau, chairperson of the group confirmed the details saying: ”We have written to the county government and we are actually supposed to pay Sh250,000 for the venue tomorrow, January 22. NASA will have to get another ground if they have an event on the same day. We are using Uhuru Park on that day.”
The Nation reports that the Kamau led group will be holding a free medical camp for street boys willing to be circumcised.
The opposition has however maintained that the ceremony will go on as planned. Miguna in the recent past said that Raila Odinga would take the oath ‘whether he likes it or not.’
Some NASA leaders have however been said to have tried brokering a deal with the powers that be in the Jubilee government to have the inauguration ceremony called off.

It is said that some would rather have President Uhuru Kenyatta and Odinga embrace dialogue rather than plunge the country into chaos.
Speaking in Mombasa during the People’s Assembly meeting, Kalonzo Musyoka gave Uhuru seven days to initiate dialogue. He warned that the country was headed for a civil war, adding that Jubilee was only being arrogant.
