Migori Governor Okoth Obado’s personal assistant and suspect in Sharon Otieno’s murder is currently at the Milimani Law Courts where he is expected to be charged.
Oyamo was arrested last week and was on Tuesday released by a Homa Bay court but later rearrested and transferred to Nairobi.
The former military man, Citizen reports, spent the night at Muthaiga Police station after being grilled at the Kisumu DCI offices.
His boss too, Obado, was questioned for over 8 hours. He denied having a hand in Sharon’s death but confirmed that he and the deceased were in a relationship.
The deceased’s parents, Douglas Otieno and Melida Auma have maintained that their late daughter will not be laid to rest until investigations into her murder are concluded.
“We are not carrying out any burial preparations, we cannot talk much unless our lawyer divulges more information,” the mother told the Nation.
Homicide detectives have since extracted DNA samples from Governor Obado and Oyamo to establish whose unborn infant Sharon was carrying when she was killed.
