A man is said to have killed his estranged lover on Monday morning in Nyaribo, Nyeri county.
The 24 year old woman was killed by her former lover at around 1 AM. The two are said to have been in an altercation.
The unidentified man who has since gone into hiding tracked down the deceased to a rented apartment. She was living with a friend.
Police suspect the two could have had relationship issues which led to the heated confrontation.
According to Nyeri Central Sub-County Police Commander Paul Kuria, they have since launched a manhunt for the suspect.

“He took off as soon as he committed the act. We are currently looking for him,” Kuria said.
Over the weekend a 30-year-old woman still from Nyeri is nursing wounds in Mathira after her husband stuck a knife in her.
Similarly, a week ago, a 25 year old medical student, Ivy Wangechi was hacked by her alleged stalker in Eldoret.
