A 37-year-old man was arrested on Sunday after he allegedly kidnapped an employee of the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).
Shaban Wangatia Otinda, a resident of Kitengela, is said to have abducted the employee before demanding for a Sh2 million ransom.
According to a statement from the Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI), Otinda was nabbed as he prepared to collect the money.
Further, the police revealed that the victim has since been rescued and is safe and sound.

The suspect is set to be arraigned in court today.
