Malawi FA president Walter Nyamilandu is the new FIFA Council Member for Anglophone group.
Walter beat Danny Jordan of South Africa 35/18 in second round voting to emerge victorious.

Football Kenya Federation (FKF) boss Nick Mwendwa and Elvis Chetty of Seychelles, who were also in the race pulled out moments before the vote.
The election took place at the Confederation of African Football Headquarters in Cairo, Egypt during the Extraordinary General Assembly meeting on Sunday.
The seat fell vacant mid this year following resignation of former Ghana FA boss Kwesi Nyantakyi over alleged corruption.

Walter Nyamilandu – 23
Leodegar Tenga – 14
Danny Jordaan – 16
With no clear winner (50 + 1), second round voting was ordered after Tenga pulled out.
Nyamilandu, who was believed to the preferred candidate for CAF president Ahmad floored Danny 35-18 to affirm Ahmad’s grip on power.
According to Kahawa Tungu sources Danny was a candidate for a rebel group within CAF gravitating towards Zimbabwe FA and Cosafa president Philip Chiyangwa.
