A gang of criminals is said to have stormed former South Sudan’s Water Affairs Minister’s home in Nairobi on Tuesday afternoon. The Minister, Mabior Garang’ is also son to slain Sudan politician John Garang’.
The four armed men made away with at least 120,000 Kenyan Shillings, 28,000 U.S dollars, jewelry worth millions: seven golden necklaces, three sets of golden bangles, 12 golden rings, three bracelets, four gold watches and ten mobile phones.
The former Minister was not at home during the robbery but his wife and brother were present and were both tied up with ropes and locked in one room before the criminals proceeded with the burglary.
The minister’s relative, Margaret Alwet reported the 3.30 PM attack where three domestic workers, among them two Ugandans have since gone missing.

It is said that the three house helps were in cahoots with the armed men since they left together.
