700 students from Maasai Girls Secondary School in Narok stormed out of the school after some students complained of molestation by a male teacher.
The school was consequently closed for a week following protests by the students, overnight.
The Principal, Rose Kotek, confirmed the allegations and said that the closure is to allow for investigations to be carried out.
Narok North Sub-County Education Officer, Samuel Sankale also confirmed that they had received reports of the teacher preying on girls in the school and had sent a team of quality assurance officers to investigate.
This incident comes after the Moi Girls’ incident where 1 girl was sexually abused and two more attacked.
More cases of sexual assault from other schools have also been reported since then.
