South Sudanese tycoon Lual Malong Jr is missing.
The self proclaimed “Africa’s youngest billionaire” is said to have disappeared from his hotel room early this month.
According to his family, Malong Jr went silent on November 14. They thereafter filed a report at Kabalagala Police Station.
They told the police that he was picked up from his hotel room in Kabalagala, by people in military uniform, who arrived in two vehicles.
Speaking to the Daily Monitor on Wednesday, Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Luke Owoyesigyire said that the police were working with other security agencies to investigate “the circumstances under which he was picked up.”
“His brother reported [the matter] to police. I can confirm he is not in our custody,” the spokesperson said.

The matter first came to light on Wednesday after being reported by a Juba based radio station, Radio Tamazuj.
One of his relatives said that Malong was taken by UPDF soldiers, claims Brigadier Richard Karemire, the spokesperson of the Uganda People’s Defence Force has denied.
“I have no information about that individual being held by the UPDF,” he said.
Speaking to Citizen TV’s Jeff Koinange in October, Malong denied being related to former South Sudanese General Paul Malong.
