The committee of the Editor’s Guild was set to hold a crisis meeting this morning to elect new leaders, months after the Editors went against the president orders, warning to the Guild Committee regarding the coverage of the swearing in of NASA Principal leader, Raila Odinga.
Linus Kaikai had criticised the State for discouraging live broadcast, terming the move as a “brazen threat is intended to intimidate the media from performing its rightful role”.
Mr Kaikai commends the committee for their collective endevour in the interest of true journalism and wishes the editors well in their continuing journey.
