Kenya’s first airport hotel, Lazizi Premier Hotel located at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) will after signing a deal with Intercontinental Hotel Group rebrand to Crowne Plaza.
The 144-room hotel management in a statement says that the decision to partner with Intercontinental is as a result of the Group’s strong reputation as one of the world’s leading business hotel brands.
InterContinental Hotels Group Managing Director, India, Middle East and Africa Pascal Gauvin says the partnership is part of the Group’s plan to expand in the next 3-5 years.
According to Mr Gauvin, Intercontinental is looking to further its presence by more than 25 percent of the current 25 hotels it operates on the continent.
“In line with our strategy to grow our presence in key markets across the African continent, we are delighted to be working with The Lazizi Premier Limited to expand the Crowne Plaza portfolio in Kenya,” Mr Gauvin said.
Opened in May 21, 2017 Lazizi Premier targets ‘transiting passengers, airline crews, and business executives on the go.’
