Gor Mahia’s second league match against Zoo on Jamhuri Day has been moved to the Kasarani Stadium in Nairobi from Machakos’ Kenyatta Stadium where it was initially booked.
The game’s kick-off time has also been pushed back to 4.00pm from an hour earlier than it was previously scheduled.
Both sides will be gunning for their maiden wins in the new Kenyan Premier League 2018-19 season following week one loses over the weekend.
Gor Mahia, who are the defending champions lost 2-1 away to Bandari in Mombasa, while Nzoia Sugar inflicted a 1-0 win against Zoo in Kericho.
Zoo is beginning a new life without some of the big names, who sustained them in the topflight in the past two seasons like Mike Madoya, who joined Tusker and Nicholas Kipkrui, who crossed over to Gor Mahia.
On Monday, Gor Mahia officially confirmed Turkish Cypriot Hassan Oktay as their new coach in a two-year contract.
Oktay has been working with the team since arriving last week. He was on the touchline during the weekend’s loss and will be hoping to make amends.
His biggest test after Wednesday will be against Lobi Stars of Nigeria in the CAF Champions League first round Sunday at the same venue.
