Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) employees protesting over the non-payment of their health services allowances were on Monday morning teargassed by police.
The staffers threatened to go on strike starting August over allowances which they say have been withheld since 2015.
The Kenya Union of Domestic, Hotels, Educational Institutions, Hospitals and Allied Workers (Kudheiha) members claim that they had prior to staging the go-slow, informed the referral hospital’s CEO.
