An Indian Court has sentenced a Kenyan student to life imprisonment for sexually assaulting a Kenyan woman in 2016.

The Kenyan, Eric Mulinge Nethuli, is stated to have been undertaking his Masters Program in Business Administration at a private college when he was accused of raping a 22-year-old fellow student.

It is reported that the victim was also a student at the same college at the time, when she allegedly invited Mulinge for dinner at her place when the abuse happened.

According to the The Hindu newspaper, following the incident, the victim reported the matter at Ammapettai All Women Police Station.
