The Kenyan Premier League 2018-19 season kicks-off across the country on Saturday with zero fanfare.
Four matches will be on the cards with the highlight of day being a clash between Bandari and defending champions Gor Mahia in Mombasa.
Disappointingly, none of the matches will be aired live on television or online as the league is yet to secure a broadcast sponsor.
Bandari finished second last season behind Gor Mahia and have vowed to wrestle the title from K’Ogalo for their maiden KPL glory this season.
It will not escape Gor Mahia fans thoughts that it was the Dockers, who broke their unbeaten run last season, making this game a grudge match of sorts.

Gor are heading into the game against a backdrop of qualification to the next round of the CAF Champions League after edging out Malawi’s Nyasa Big Bullets.
Bandari have equally been gearing up to the clash and held their preseason in Zanzibar and have managed to keep the bulk of the players who did well last season.
In the other games of the day, Mathare United hosts Chemelil Sugar at the Kasarani Stadium while newbies KCB travel to Bhukungu to face KK Homeboyz and Posta Rangers face Western Stima at Nakuru’s Afraha Stadium.
The build up to the big kick-off has been dull and boring. Apart from clubs busy activity in the transfer window, there was absolutely nothing from the league management to hype it.
Basically there’s nothing new to look forward to in the new season, its business as usual. It’s very difficult to convince anyone that the league is growing.
For the umpteenth season, KPL is stuck with a single sponsor, who can barely sustain their operations, a paltry prize money and no broadcast partner.
More clearly still need to be done to professionalize the league and make it lucrative.
