Kenya To Host UN Executives Board Meeting In 2020


The United Nations Secretary general Antonio Guteres has announced that the board meeting of UN heads will be hosted in Nairobi in 2020

This will the second time that Nairobi will host the Executives after the inaugural meeting that was hosted in 2011. The Kenyan office is among the four major stations for the UN and the only one in the global south.

The meeting will comprise of heads from 31 Executive Heads of the United Nations and its Funds and Programmes, the Specialised Agencies, including the Bretton Woods Institutions (The World Bank and IMF), and Related Organisations – the WTO, the UNOPS and the IAEA.
