A Kenya Air Force aircraft, model Harbin Y-12, on Tuesday crashed at the Tsavo East National Park, in Voi, Taita Taveta County.
Harbin Y-12 or Yunshuji-12 is a twin-engine light multi-role aircraft designed and developed by Harbin Aircraft Manufacturing Corporation (HAMC) of China.
In a tweet, Kenya Defense Force (KDF) said the aircraft was from Moi Air Base, Eastleigh.
Today 12 Jan 21, mid-morning, a Kenya Air Force aircraft, model Harbin Y-12, crashed in Voi, Taita Taveta County. The aircraft was from Moi Air Base, Eastleigh, Nairobi. Recovery efforts are underway.

On board were a major, two colonels, and one private, all of whom lost their lives in the accident.
The cause of the crash remains unknown.
Locals said the area was cordoned off for the best part of Tuesday. They said that they saw ambulances rush to the scene.
