Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has joined Deputy Chief Justice Philemona Mwilu’s star studded defense team.
The DCJ is currently at the Milimani Court awaiting to take a plea after her dramatic arrest on Tuesday at the Supreme Court.
She has been accused by DPP Noordin Haji of receiving Sh12 million from Imperial Bank and using her office for personal gain.
Critics say say that Kalonzo’s presence in court is his way of undermining President Uhuru Kenyatta’s fight against corruption.
While making his submissions, Kalonzo said: “I want to stress the provision of article 50 –sub-article 2 of the constitution elaborated by senior council; it says that the right to fair trial of any citizen is basic.”
The centralization of the war on graft will fail.
