The Wiper party leader has been out of the country for the past few months tending to his wife, Pauline Kalonzo who is in Germany receiving cancer treatment.
The People’s Assembly steering committee chaired by David Ndii has said that they are contemplating swearing in Musyoka as the people’s deputy president but in Germany.
But the party leadership led by Farah Maalim said that the plan to swear in Raila was a ‘recipe for chaos.’
The planning committee on Friday reiterated that Odinga would take oath of office lawfully. They challenged Attorney General, Githu Muigai to cite laws they (NASA, NRM and People’s Assembly) had broken.
The AG on Wednesday said that an alternative swearing in would amount to treason, punishable by death.
