Former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo was on Wednesday morning trolled for mourning the wrong singer.
In an early morning tweet, the ex-county chief mourned Quincy Jones instead of James Ingram who lost the battle to cancer at the age of 66.
Kabogo used Ingram’s image but captioned it with Jones’ name, making him an easy target for the hawk-eyed Kenyans on Twitter.
He later took down the tweet, replacing it with one correctly captioned.
His critics thought he should have apologized instead of deleting the tweet.
I mourn James Ingram. May his soul Rest In Peace. A legend he will always be. pic.twitter.com/IUeEtdkrGM

Jones, 85, mourned the deceased as a singer “with that soulful, whisky sounding voice, James was simply magical.”
“There are no words to convey how much my heart aches with the news of the passing of my baby brother, James Ingram. With that soulful, whisky sounding voice, James was simply magical. He was, & always will be, beyond compare. Rest In Peace my baby bro…You’ll be in my heart forever,” he said on Twitter.
