Justin Muturi has retained his seat as Speaker for the National Assembly.
Muturi will serve as Speaker in the 12th parliament after garnering 220 votes, beating his opponent, Dr Noah Winja who got 1 vote in the second round of voting.
Mr Muturi on Wednesday was endorsed by President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy, William Ruto during a Jubilee party meeting at the state house.
Earlier today, former Governor for Bungoma was elected as Senate Speaker amid opposition from the NASA camp.

Led by Senators James Orengo and Mutula Kilonzo Jr. they raised integrity queries on Lusaka during his tenure as Bungoma county boss.
Lusaka beat Ekwe Ethuro who was given a cold shoulder by the Jubilee party leaders.
Ethuro came in third with only 2 votes.
