A section of Jubilee MPs have threatened to impeach leader of majority, Aden Duale should he not change his ways.
The Nation reports that Cherangany MP Joshua Kuttuny called for a meeting that was attended by 37 legislators, among them, Elgeyo Marakwet senator Kipchumba Murkomen.
The legislators, Kuttuny says were dissatisfied with the move to remove Alfred Keter, Alex Kosgey, Kangogo Bowen from their respective committees for not toeing the party’s line.
The three who hail from Deputy President William Ruto’s backyard did however despite the Chief Whip’s move won key committee leadership posts.
”We were trying to put things in order after our members were de-whipped from the committees. The act was unfortunate and MPs have resolved a number of issues, including an impeachment motion against Duale.
Members raised a lot of issues, including the conduct of Mr Duale. They said if he does not change, they will impeach him,” Kuttuny said.
The legislators from both the south and north rift are said to have sought audience with the DP over the same issue.
