Jubilee Party has denied having a hand in the petition filed by Nyeri town Mp, Ngunjiri Wambugu seeking the removal from office of the Chief Justice David Maraga.
Wambugu criticized the CJ saying that he was wrong for annulling the August 8 presidential election without going through all the evidence presented before him.
The party’s Secretary General, Raphael Tuju has confirmed that neither the party nor the President had directed the filing of the petition, but was an individual’s move.
“I have seen the petition online but it is not a Jubilee Party thing..it is an individual’s action,” he said. “…I have just seen it but I have not read it to the end.”
A section of Kenyans are of the opinion that the petition against the CJ was ‘political terrorism.’

The moronic #MaragaPetition is a diversion; a subterfuge. Let's return to the substantive issue: #NoReformsNoElections. #UhuruMustResign

I expect the JSC to dismiss this silly #MaragaPetition outrightly without giving @ngunjiriwambugu the 15minutes of fame he is looking for. https://t.co/SGQDNe8duF

Profound similarities in #MaragaPetition and one Ngatia and Ahmednasir drafted on Odunga for Tuju's signature. How can buffoons rule Kenya?

The Petition to remove CJ David Maraga for his fidelity to the Constitution is political terrorism … #MaragaPetition
