Former Wiper Secretary General, Hassan Omar’s defection to Jubilee party has caused lifts within the ruling party.
Deputy Governor candidate on a Jubilee ticket, Ananiah Mwaboza is allegedly an unhappy man stating that Omar’s move was hypocritical.
Mwaboza is said to have felt let out after Omar stated that should his petition against Governor Ali Hassan Joho go through, then Suleiman Shahbal should support his gubernatorial bid.
”If Shahbal stands a better chance, I will back down. If I do, he will support me,”the former Senator said on Sunday at the Serani grounds.
Mwaboza, former Kisauni MP, also accused Shahbal of failing the Jubilee campaign team that worked tirelessly during the campaign period.
“With them (Omar and Shahbal), first they are riding on ABCD and if they fail, they feel they have been neglected. They are cheated on then cross over,” he said.
“The sentiments were there, they were everywhere… The majority said they wished Mwaboza was there.”
