Former TV host Jacque Maribe and broke playboy Joe ‘Jowie’ Irungu will now be charged with murder, the Director of Public Prosecution has revealed in a statement.
According to the statement from the DPP, Noordin Haji, Jacque and Jowie will be charged with murder contrary to section 203 as read with section 204 of the constitution.
Jacque Maribe’s life had been on the fast lane while hanging out with the who is who and trying to show that she also exerted power and influence, something which drove her greed and point to a lifestyle she was trying to portray but not able to afford.
Colleagues at Royal Media have revealed how she used to send her camera crew away after State House assignments and try to show that she had the influence by remaining behind and spending whole day in the residence of the President.

Jowie on the other hand is known to have been living with different people so as to live the life of parties and good life without any job. At one point, Joe Irungu aka Jowie even lived and reportedly got into a gay relationship with Mark ‘Maki’ Kaloki who was then working with Kenya Airways as a Cabin Crew so that the latter would support his lifestyle.
Mark is openly gay and was recently fired by KQ for being involved in smuggling contrabands and drugs through the airline. The sacking of Mark and others came as a result of the audit by US security agencies as Kenya Airways is set to commence direct flights to USA later this month.
Mark Kaloki aka Maki Mark is the guy who lived with Joe “Jowie” Irungu the longest. Mark being gay, people even thought that Joe was sleeping with him.

But before getting hooked to Maki Mark as Mark Kaloki is known within the gay and first lane of club life, Jowie was dating one Maureen Kahehu whom he also lived with for some time. They differed after apparently having an affair with Maureen’s sister, Catherine Kahehu who now lives in USA.
During the campaign period, Joe Irungu was working for then senator Joyce Lay as her bodyguard. He was also rumoured to be having an affair with the lady who was formerly married to Bill Lay (formerly of General Motors).
In December, Joe Irungu sent out a message to his friends in Langata that his father was dead. One of the people in the group later met one of Jowie’s relatives in Nakuru and ask what the arrangements for the funeral were. The relative was reportedly surprised and revealed that there was no such funeral. Money had by then been contributed to Jowie to cover the cost of burying his father.
On Sunday, a man claiming to be his father was interviewed by NTV’s Dennis Okari. The piece from NTV and subsequent ones on Daily Nation looked like desperate attempt to exonerate the duo from the gruesome murders.
So there exist a clear motive, greed, for the murder of Monica. It was known that Joe Irungu was under immense family pressure to settle down but he didn’t have money so it seems he organised a robbery which went horribly wrong.
