Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) was on Thursday morning closed.
In a memo dated 18 October, the registrar, Dr E.T Muoria, says the institution will remain closed until further notice.
The semester break is meant to allow the students and exercise their democratic right on October 26.
The registrar does however urge the students to ‘vote wisely’ and vote for President Uhuru Kenyatta.
”Vote wisely my friends. #TanoTena!” the memo reads.
Maseno University was also closed this morning after students disrupted a training of IEBC officials on Wednesday.
“Due to the prevailing circumstances, the university is hereby closed indefinitely. Students are advised to vacate the premises,” Vice Chancellor Julius Nyabundi ordered.
