Kenyan musician and politician Jaguar has called out Wasafi records signee Harmonize for letting down his Eldoret fans who came out in their numbers to watch him perform.

Jaguar said that what Harmonize did was not right, especially after the amount of support he has received in Kenya. The Kigeugeu hitmaker believes that Harmonize should have handled the situation in a better way.

“Ni tukio la kuhuzunisha lakini mimi NAMSHTUMU sana Harmonize….wakenya wamemsupport sana, wamesupport wasanii wa nje sana. Wengine wanatumia pesa zao kupiga simu, kurequest nyimbo zao,” Jaguar told Mseto East Africa.

The Starehe legislator said that it was not the fans fault that Harmonize had not been paid and if it were up to him, he would have gone on stage and later followed up on his payment.

“Mimi mwenyewe siwezi nikakosa kupanda stage sababu ya balance ambayo promoter amebakisha na ni kitu nilikuwa nafanya. Kwanza nadeal na mafans wangu,” he said.

Jaguar added that without the support of Kenyans, Harmonize would not have been where he is right now.

“…vitu zingine nitadeal nazo baadaye sababu bila nyinyi nisingekuwa Harmonize pale niko. Unapata kuna fans wametoka mbali hadi Eldoret kwa sababu yake. Sometimes unafaa kuangalia mafans kwanza,” he added.

Chaos erupted at the festival after Harmonize failed to show up for his performance. The event promoter was arrested for refusing to pay the artists and for the destruction caused at the venue.
