President Uhuru Kenyatta seems not to be backing down from the fight against corruption. He has fired a warning that he was ready to fight any close ally,brother or sister who was stealing from Kenyans.
“If you are corrupt we will fight you. You can be my brother or my sister or my closest political ally but if you are corrupt we will fight you,” he said
He said that Kenya had great potential but the burden of corruption was weighing the country down. He also said that he was dedicated to leave Kenya a united Nation and that he would not be clouded by ethnicity.
I won’t be clouded by ethnicity or status in my quest to leave behind a united nation and I will continue championing for Kenya’s unity,” President Kenyatta said.
He said that the foight against corruption was still on. Speaking to Kenyans living in Namibia, the President also issued a directive to the immigration department to facilitate the issuance of new generation passports to Kenyans living in the diaspora.

After our discussions I directed relevant Government agencies to come up with mechanisms of ensuring that Kenyans in the diaspora are issued with the new generation passports in the countries of their residence,” a statement by the president.
The tweets have since been deleted and social media accounts of the President deactivated.
The President, who was invited to Namibia as chief guest during the 29th Independence Anniversary Celebrations at the Independence Stadium in Windhoek, challenged Africans to work harder to unlock the continent’s economic potential.
