It was interesting watching Orange Kenya Corporate Communication head, Angela Mumo give us ultimatums and opinions apparently flanked by a Mr Stephen Mutoro who represents nobody. The two were at a press conference to disagree with CCK boss on matters touching on the latest Price Wars. You can read what they were saying here. Mr Mutoro was there in his capacity as the head of some organisation called Consumer Federation or whatever. The same guy heads another funny body called KARA (apparently it stands for Kenya Alliance residence Association).

Both KARA and COFEK are very irrelevant entities in this sector of telecommunication because they represent nobody. They are what we call the briefcase organisations which revolves around one person. But Orange Kenya needed to score points in regards to the war or words in the media between Airtel on one side and Safaricom, Orange and PS Ndemo on one side with yu taking a non-aligned position.

We have fought very long for consumer rights in ICT for long without getting to hear from Mutoro or anyone of his band of briefcase organisation operatives who will always respond to the tune of music from the any master. The initials of Consumer federation of Kenya is (COFEK), we can make it go f***. Any consumer or consumer organisation will always want services and goods at the most affordable rates. In fact most of them would want the same for free. Mutoro is not one of those who will want savings for his consumers. He barks on behalf of the best paying master, Orange and Safaricom.

Mutoro is like that fake ass person called sijui nani who claims to represent Kenya Internet Users. Opportunists all round. BEWARE!!
