The High court has ordered for the immediate release of NRM self declared general Miguna Miguna. He had moved to court through his lawyer Nelson Havi to asked that the court releases him on bail.
The High court through Justice James Wakiaga released him on a cash bail of Sh 50000.The matter was heard under a certificate of urgency.

Miguna Miguna is the second NRM leader present at the controversial swearing to be arrested after Ruaraka MP, TJ Kajwang was also arrested.
The NRM general was arrested at his Runda home and taken to Kiambu police station. He claims that the police were abusing their power by oppressing him
The lawyer had called on the police to arrest him and that he was not afraid because he swore in Raila Odinga as the people’s president, according to him it was within his mandate as a commissioner of oaths.
