Antony Akumu, Jesse Were and David Owino were Saturday crowned Zambian Super League champions after winning it with Zesco United for the second time on the bounce.
The ceremony took place at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium, Ndola and was preceded by a match day 37 fixture against Red Arrows in which Zesco lost 1-0.
Zesco headed into the tie as champions-elect having bagged the seventh title with games to spare.

Striker Jesse, who is chasing golden boot gong and utility midfielder Akumu started the match, while defender Owino, who is still nursing a long term injury did not feature.
The title was Owino’s third with Zesco while Jesse and Akumu have now been crowned champs twice.
Jesse and Akumu were recently handed Harambee Stars call ups and will fly directly to Ethiopia for Wednesday’s Afcon 2019 qualifier against the hosts at Bahir Dar Stadium.
The return leg will take place on Sunday at the Kasarani Stadium.
