Former Unilever executive Grace Oluoch has been named Bamburi’s new finance director.
Ms Oluoch will take over from Eric Kironde who has been the finance director since 2011, and held the position of the managing director in an acting capacity.
According to a statement from the cement manufacturer, Kironde has been reassigned unspecified roles.

“The board is confident that Eric is the right person to take up the new (unnamed) role which is critical to the group,” read a statement from Bamburi.
Bamburi is east Africa’s largest cement maker by market share. It is controlled 58.6 per cent by French multinational LafargeHolcim.
