Justice Lessit allowed the Migori Governor to be released on a cash bail of KSh5million on the grounds that the evidence against him was circumstantial and not enough to deny him bail.

He was ordered to surrender his passport at the DCI and given a condition that he should not skip any court session as his bail could be cancelled at any time.

Obado was warned against communicating with the parents, siblings or rather any close relative the deceased Sharon Otieno whether directly or through a proxy.
