Governor Ali Hassan Joho has come to the rescue of TV and Radio presenter Jahmby Koikai, who has been in the US since early April receiving treatment for endometriosis.
Jahmby has been battling endometriosis since she was a young girl.
Through this she has amassed bills of up to millions, from her treatment. Having lost her job, Jahmby faced a hard time trying to meet her personal and medical bills.
She has been sending appeals online for fundraising, with people coming out in numbers to support her. Friends have organised concerts in her honor, had fund drives to support her and even sold merchandise.

The 33 year old made a request online asking her fans to tag Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho, to help her with her balance of 2.2 millions shillings.
“I have tried everything. I have knocked on all the doors you can ever think of. Today I humbly ask you my fam to kindly help me tag His Excellency Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan to kindly assist me with this last part of the fundraiser,” read her post in part.
Fortunately Joho heard her appeal and has donated KSh.1 million shillings towards her fund.
Jahmby sent her gratitude online to Governor Joho.
“I want to take a moment to thank you all for your acts of kindness and especially to those who responded to my plea to reach out to @joho_001 H.E Governor Ali Hassan Joho. Mheshimiwa responded and contributed Ksh 1m to my fund which has gone a long way in lifting my hospital bill.”
She is still appealing for KSh.1.1 million. Her extended stay for therapy and other treatments ha escalated her bills.
