Ugandan forward Erisa Ssekisambu has signed for Gor Mahia on a two-year contract, Kahawa Tungu can exclusively report.

The deal was completed Wednesday through online signing in time for Gor register him with CAF for Champions League football next season.

“It’s a done deal. The paperwork was done online to allow Gor Mahia register him in time for CAF Champions League,” a close source revealed.

The first deadline for registering players with CAF for the championship which begins on November 17, 2018 is Friday.

The 23-year-old former Vipers SC player was a free agent after leaving the Venoms at the end of the 2017-18 league season.

During the season, he scored eight goals as Vipers won the Ugandan Premier League.

Gor have been hot on his pursuit but failed to land his signature in June hence settling for Ivorian Ephrem Guikan.

Guikan, despite netting 13 times in his maiden season, did not impress coach Dylan Kerr, who reportedly made it known to the management that the player is not in his plans for next season.

He is therefore expected to give his foreigner’s slot to Erisa.

Erisa is expected in the country after Gor Mahia’s trip to Liverpool for their international friendly against Everton next week.
